Responsibilities

  • Conduct team member relations investigations, analyze organizational issues, and work in partnership with HR leadership to develop and execute plans to address problem areas.
  • Guide, train, and direct business partners on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and organizational compliance, including conducting compliance audits.
  • Collect data and present the Regional/area trends across Team Member relations cases to assess organizational needs and assist HR leadership in diagnosing root cause problems that impact overall organizational health.
  • Use positive and professional business practices to effectively resolve various Team Member concerns regarding grievances, Team Member complaint resolutions, CBA interpretations, Company policy interpretations, etc., with appropriate internal and external business partners.
  • Assist and participate in preparation and communications for labor negotiations and/or the preparation and communications for union-free activities, as assigned. Where applicable, ensure accurate implementation of CBA ratification changes and updates. CBA and/union-free Leadership training.
  • Serve as an advocate for our Team Members and works to resolve Team HR related questions and issues.
  • Provide counseling and direction to team members, facilitate communication, and help resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.
  • Assist in implementing the organization’s performance management process through coaching, educating, and providing feedback at the District and Store levels.
  • Maintain, produce, and analyze employee-related reporting.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of all federal, state, and local labor and wage and hour laws.
  • Proactively provide specific tools and resources as it relates to the overall improvement of our workplace culture.
  • Maintain proper documents in employee files.
  • Manage adverse background checks.
  • Partner with the HRBP (HR Business Partners) to assist in facilitate climate surveys with store-level associates to assess culture and engagement.
  • Perform additional duties, projects, etc. as necessary that supports the field organization.
