Responsibilities

  • Program Assessment and Development
  • Learn all the functions/initiatives of the Employee Wellness programs directed toward reducing health risks and improving overall health and wellbeing for team members
  • Heighten awareness of the factors that can affect health and wellness, educating team members on how to take increased responsibility for their health behaviors through system wellness initiatives and customized programming
  • Customize program elements and align wellness themes to coincide with each leader/department/teams' needs as it relates to our wellness pillars: physical/nutritional, mental/emotional, social, financial and work life balance
  • Design, promote and implement Employee Wellness programs at designated sites
  • Work with internal committees and departments to promote wellness initiatives within hospital units and departments
  • Identify the outcome metrics associated with key program initiatives
  • Develop and conduct program specific surveys to determine needs assessments at each site
  • Track and report pre/post metrics to illustrate effectiveness and value of program
  • Create/organize program materials and modes of communication for optimal engagement
  • Schedule program cadence depending on leader/team needs
  • Teach quarterly systemwide preventative courses for diabetes and MSK
  • Must be aware of and fully versed in all wellness related programs including those within: Fitness Centers, Center for Best Health, Get Well @ Work, and Work-Life Services
  • Promote and engage in well-being initiatives that align with organizational goals and strategies including: Sharecare, Spring Health, Well Being Index, MyCare Rewards Benefits, Employee Fitness Centers, Circles Concierge, Transamerica, Members First Credit Union, Center for Best Health, Get Well @ Work, Bright Horizons and ongoing additional work life services
  • Responsible for creating hospital and health part wellness newsletter featuring site-specific wellness initiatives
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings with hospital leadership to provide regular wellness based information
  • Partner with internal and external departments and businesses to resource share best practices and to educate team member and community members on Wellstar's strategy to enhance our wellness culture
  • Perform targeted daily wellness rounds to optimize social interaction, shared learning and group cohesion surrounding team member wellness
  • Coordinate interventions with onsite care navigators, spiritual health, and clinical resilience team during CARES activation
  • Support leaders in applying wellness themes within their day to day operations around topics such as: fairness, camaraderie, pride, credibility, and respect to enhance social connection and trust within the workplace to positively impact GPTW scores
  • Hold monthly wellness marketing table event to promote system wellness initiatives to bolster registration/utilization
  • Administer 1:1 Wellness Consultations for team members
  • Provide individual biometric screenings for team members
  • Recruit co-chair and committee members establishing Employee Wellness Committee at designated site
  • Develop and distribute workplace wellness survey annually
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly committee meeting; providing regular minutes and progress notes to site Executive Sponsor
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives based on wellness survey results to enhance wellness culture
  • Maintain day to day restocking of inventory
  • Daily cleanliness checks
  • Real-time troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Create curriculum and accompanying resources that focus on revolving wellness topics such as: skin cancer, digestion, gut health, diabetes, stress relief, sleep, women's health, MSK, general nutrition
  • Act as primary wellness resource for Nursing Excellence obtaining service excellence designations
  • Work alongside stakeholders to provide support documentation and data for well-being as it pertains to nursing engagement and results
