Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • CPA, CPA candidate, CIA or CIA candidate (CPA preferred)
  • 0 - 2 + years or more experience in Audit/Assurance, Advisory, or public accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting standards
  • Exposure to oil and gas industry or experience in energy compliance and fuels regulations preferred, but not required
  • Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fluid working environment

Responsibilities

  • Weaver seeks an Energy Compliance Services Associate to join our growing team. The role of the ECS Associate II is to develop an understanding of technical laws and regulations related to the Energy Compliance Services practice. This individual will be responsible for completing attestation and consulting engagements, as well as performing compliance assessments and preparing work papers. They will also research regulations and manage multiple assignments with the supervision of more experienced team members. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, deadline oriented, has strong interpersonal skills, and maintains professionalism.
