This includes the ability to pay attention to detail and use MS Excel proficiently, understanding programming logic, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team working and leadership. All the work we do requires team working and you will be responsible for the delivery of the whole team. This involves planning the work, supporting the team, anticipating challenges, leading by example, and accountability towards the client (with more Senior support when required).
  • Being fluent in Spanish and English. On the one hand our clients are located in Spanish and non-Spanish speaking countries, and on the other hand our work requires day-to-day collaboration – in English – with other AFRY offices.
  • Writing and communication skills. Report-writing and presenting in public is a core part of our work, therefore we are also looking for the ability to explain complex information in a clear and logical way in English, both in writing and orally.
  • Proactivity and responsibility. You will be working in a commercial environment against budgets and deadlines so you will need to be able to think for yourself, be proactive and have a business-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for energy markets and policies. You have a holistic understanding of electricity or gas market dynamics, sustainability challenges, and energy policies.
  • Additionally, we highly value:
  • computer programming (e.g. Python, Optimisation languages, VBA etc.)
  • database skills (e.g. MS SQL Server or other database systems)
  • contacts in your industry

Responsibilities

  • You will support AFRY consulting activities for a wide range of clients – including major financial investors, the largest Iberian and international utilities, government, and regulatory bodies – through projects carried out mainly in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
