Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in community/urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, or a closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with computer programs (GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs) and the ability to produce attractive maps, graphics, and written documents
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Up to 5 years of experience but recent graduates will also be considered
  • Experience in both the public and private sector
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and highly motivated
  • Strong writing and graphic skills

Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of the Community Planner include support of senior staff projects, public engagement, plan development, report writing and document production, and the preparation of maps and graphics. The successful candidate can work on assigned tasks collaboratively or autonomously as conditions require, conduct research, and produce project deliverables, coordinate with client representatives, and confidently interact with the public.
