Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation Planning, or related field.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in demographic and economic analysis.
  • Basic familiarity with community outreach techniques, including to populations of color and low-income populations.
  • Basic familiarity with GIS analysis.

Responsibilities

  • The position offers the opportunity for a recent graduate or current planner with limited job experience to contribute to a variety of consulting projects in Tennessee and elsewhere, including:
  • Transportation corridor planning.
  • Transit studies.
  • Transportation Demand Management programs.
  • Roadway and bridge design.
  • Bicycle and pedestrian systems analysis.
  • Community outreach.
  • Economic development and housing studies.
  • Land use and comprehensive planning.
  • Policy analysis.
