Responsibilities

  • The Launch Management System Design Authority is responsible for ensuring the technical development of, certification sign-off and in-service support for the Launch Management System (LMS) on two major programmes, Sea Ceptor and Land Ceptor.
  • By building on and maintaining a complex structure of functional and physical design, you will ensure every aspect of the product can be verified, validated and accepted into the Weapon System capability by our Customers.
  • In this role, you will be expected to have a high level of engagement across a variety of technical aspects, including system design, software engineering, electronics and mechanical engineering, in-service reliability and support, safety, cybersecurity and other disciplines.
  • In addition, you will need to ensure the hardware and software design continues to evolve in order to meet the demand of the overall system capability expected by our customers.
  • The LMS Design Authority will be supported in their career development goals and will ensure expertise are maintained within the team to promote the design goals required of the team and wider MBDA organisation.
