  • Experience of leading, developing and motivating a multi-disciplined package team on large projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and practices.
  • A background encompassing electrical system design, supply, manufacture and installation on major projects.
  • Proven project management expertise and a track record of delivering major projects, especially contracting strategy, planning, cost, risk, quality, and commercial management.
  • Comfortable operating within an environment of high uncertainty and rapid change, with the ability to clearly present key decisions and messages at senior levels.

Responsibilities

  • As ESI Package Manager you’ll be responsible for all matters relating to the design, specification, supply, transportation, installation and commissioning of the project’s onshore and offshore transmission system scopes.
  • Leading the delivery of the ESI Package contract packages including, the design, supply, construction and commissioning of substation platforms, export and land cables, civils enabling works, and electrical system infrastructure.
  • Focal point for engagement with supply chain participants who have both direct and indirect interests in bidding for the relevant work packages and wider portfolios within the business.
  • Working as part of the Project Leadership Team to enhance the contracting strategy for the Project which will provide value, optimise future supply chain opportunities, the Business Case and the project delivery strategy.
  • Supporting the Grid Manager with the necessary Transmission System Operator (TSO) and Transmission Asset Owner (TAO) grid engagement, milestones, delivery interfaces associated with the project grid connection and transmission system asset transfer process.
  • Responsible for ESI Package governance, programme, risk, budget, resource requirements and people development.
