Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for all matters relating to the financial and contractual aspects of the project.
  • Contributing to feasibility studies and providing cost advice for budgetary purposes.
  • Proactively procure build cost and construction market information whilst developing and maintaining a cost database.
  • Manages and provides estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan/estimate.
  • Reviews and verifies design stage cost estimates and cost plans produced by others.
  • Assist in the establishment of a cost control and reporting system and proactively contribute to the production of regular cost and project management reports.
  • Participate in all commercial and design meetings and workshops as required.
  • Reviews the development of design and contributes to the design change process.
  • Manages team of Cost Consultants/QS, providing guidance, direction and coaching.
  • Provide cost analysis of prices, tenders and costs obtained from the market.
