Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the completion of supplier nomination activities by buyers on time and within the established Budget.
  • Controlling cost deviations from the Project Contract during the development phase.
  • Promote cost reduction activities and evaluation of the effect of locally purchased parts which are strategic to contribute to the overall vehicle cost reduction target during the production phase.
  • Organisation of the activities assigned to the sourcing of a new vehicle part or components, in the framework of the activities of the Purchasing area; in the sourcing phase, development and start of production, as well as subsequent activities during the series life.
  • Channelling of incidents and search for solutions through the different departments.
  • Guiding buyers with regard to sourcing deadlines and ensuring the correct administration of the established budget.
  • Supporting the sourcing of parts: promoting and providing the buyer with information on what parts can be sourced, contacting the buyer in the source region to discuss what opportunities and ideas can be realised, and following up on the activity.
