Responsibilities

  • Produce the Q102 breakfast show daily 5 days a week.
  • Help plan and research shows, from content planning to transmission, maintaining high editorial and production values.
  • Ensure the output is of the highest quality with enough experience to guide the presenting team each morning.
  • Generate and develop creative original ideas that align with Q102’s brand values.
  • Ability to run the show from a technical aspect, including driving the desk and trouble shooting on the fly, taking calls etc.
  • Archive audio to locate key audio moments for award entries and a daily podcast(s).
  • Work with the marketing team to identify areas of opportunity to promote the show attending marketing meetings and business update meetings on behalf of the show.
  • Lead the social media output in conjunction with the digital team including identifying shareable in studio video moments.
  • Adhere to broadcasting standards and station guidelines, ensuring content is appropriate and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the senior management team to devise features and identify opportunities to grow station audiences, supporting the business and to drive audience growth.
  • Working across the broader Dublin portfolio to support the Dublin CC and Q102 APD as needed including:
  • Music Scheduling – main music scheduler cover for Q102 and/or FM104
  • S+P idea generation – for individual shows and station wide campaigns supporting the development of innovative promotional strategies across radio, digital, social media, and events to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.
  • Management of rosters – arranging cover for presenters for annual leave and/or sick leave on both stations
  • Production cover across other shows in the portfolio as required.
