Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of camera, audio, and drone gear
  • Strong logistical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Jira and Inews computer systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and intense environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, overnights, and weekends
  • Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently, especially under pressure
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and team-building skills to maintain relationships with staff and vendors
  • Critical thinking skills for coordinating crews under strict time constraints
  • Experience in broadcast or affiliate news services is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Basic ENG Field Photography to eventually working on shoots in the field
  • Single Camera and Multi Camera Set-Ups
  • Audio for Single and Multi-Camera Set-Ups
  • Basic Lighting for news gathering and long format interviews
  • Safely drive company owned and rental vehicles
  • Streaming technologies
  • Backfill NY Studio Van operators when needed
  • Assign staff and hire freelance crews for news and news story packages
  • Engage field assets including cameras, audio gear, drones, transmission vehicles, and studio vans
  • Input personnel information and distribute the daily handover
  • Update and maintain database
  • Monitor daily requests
  • Analyze monthly expenditures and department needs
  • Process invoices
  • Secure and deploy resources whenever there is breaking news nationally or internationally
  • Proactively secure resources in the field
  • Facilitate communication between camera crews and field producers and bookers
