Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a technician or master craftsman, with a focus on electrical engineering, automation technology or a related field.
  • You have already gained extensive experience as a service technician, ideally already in environmental measurement technology.
  • Initial or more extensive experience working with complementary products such as dust and/or mercury measurements as well as emission calculators.
  • The field service activity requires a high willingness to travel within Germany, occasionally abroad.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • Personally, you will impress us with your pronounced affinity for service and a high degree of initiative and independence.

Responsibilities

  • In your function as Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the commissioning of analysis, measurement and control devices as well as process engineering systems. In doing so, you will install hardware, import software, perform parameterizations and functional tests as well as create the necessary documentation.
  • Furthermore, it is your task to create and coordinate customer-specific maintenance and system check plans as well as to carry out the corresponding maintenance on site at the customer.
  • You will clarify the technical and scheduling aspects in advance with the specialist department and the customer.
  • To prepare for the service call, you record the customer's fault reports and take the required spare parts from the warehouse.
  • You will then analyze the cause of the fault at the customer's site, replace defective parts and rectify the fault.
  • In this context, you will work out proposals for increasing plant availability and conduct the final discussion with the customer.
  • In order to meet the customer's requirement for 365/24 service, you will be available for on-call service after coordination.
  • You are also available for occasional support of our international ABB companies, by arrangement.
