What kind of mechanical equipment will I be working on as a Fitter?
You will be working on various mechanical equipment including Main Engine 2-stroke, Auxiliary Engine 4-stroke, Steam Turbine, Engine Turbocharger, Centrifugal Pump, Screw Pump, Gear Box, Winches, Windlass, and COW machines along with other relevant equipment.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this position?
You need to read and understand technical drawings, have a secondary school education, complete I.T.I., industrial/vocational training, or possess 2 years of Apprenticeship Training. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
Will I need to perform duties of a Foreman?
Yes, you may be required to perform the duties of a Foreman as appointed for individual projects.
