Responsibilities

  • Project Support Specialist: Provide support to PAAC General Business tasks in one or more of the following areas: Project Support including travel, technical writing/editing, desktop publishing, purchase requests, arranging/scheduling meetings, logistics. Also maintains detailed knowledge of required compliance documentation including project specific and GSFC documentation standards.
  • Configuration Management Specialist: Provide team support and/or leadership CM (configuration management) support to a GSFC selected project implementing CM processes and procedures that support the procurement, development, integration, test, and delivery of NASA project asset. Support, develop, and/or implement CM procedures required to manage the planning, identification, controlling, auditing and status accounting of all CM products in accordance with the GSFC ISO/Quality Management System.
  • Planner / Scheduler: Provide planning and scheduling support by gathering information to provide status, maintain, and control integrated master schedules (IMS) using scheduling software, i.e., MS Project, Milestones Professional and/or Primavera. Analyze project schedules to determine the critical path and evaluate schedule risks and develop what-if scenarios, work arounds and recovery plans to minimize impacts to the project schedule. Identify key project milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives and track progress toward meeting them. Prepare and maintain a Schedule Management Plan which defines the requirements for schedule planning, monitoring, and control. Interface with project resource analysts to ensure costs and schedule integration of the IMS. Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedule hierarchy structure to accomplish vertical and horizontal traceability.
  • Resource Analyst (Financial Analyst): Support budgeting and financial management issues and activities utilizing the financial systems/tools (SAP, Funds Control, BOBJ, CORTS) historical costs and full cost. Determine fiscal, budget and workforce resources requirements and provide insight to help control expenditures. Establish full cost resource requirements and recommend resource allocations based on priorities and needs. Review budget and cost trending analysis. Work with Technical Leads as part of the forecasting monthly cadence. Review NASA 533 reports (plans and actuals) from major contractors and report any variances and concerns to project management. Prepare financial data and reports used for internal project monthly reviews and center Monthly Status Report (MSR). Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested. Assist with budget planning and execution. Work with the project and division business teams to review planned vs. actual funding status. Provide monthly status reports for project management and NASA Center management.
  • Documentation Management Specialist: Provide coordination and support to Electronic Records Management policies, processes, and procedures. Navigate and communication NARA needs and prepare projects to ensure they understand and working towards meeting those requirements. Define process of information architecture for configuring records management within SharePoint to managing content lifecycle. Ensure all business needs and legal, regulatory and system requirements related to records management are met. Provide business analyst skills for Records and Content Management related projects within a SharePoint environment. Provide support in records management program activities such electronic record dispositioning including inventory, appraisal, and disposition. Partners with IT on functional and technical assessments as related to records and information management and evaluates proposed technology solutions to determine feasibility and compliance with industry and organization standards.
  • Earned Value Management: Operate Deltek Cobra and Encore Analytics Empower software. The project has the requirement of using Earned Value Management as a project management technique. Must be able to follow NASA and GSFC EVM documentation. Communicate EVM principles through the development or establishment of an EVM system or process within the projects.
