  • We are looking for Inclusive Design Consultants to join our Access and Inclusive Environments discipline. Our Access and Inclusive Environments team's inclusive approach includes close working with design teams to identify inclusive solutions, consultation and engagement with user groups, as well as reference to ongoing research and industry-related guidance papers that provide good practice.
  • Inclusive design reflects the diversity of our communities and allows people to experience and access buildings and facilities in an equal manner – so if the ramp is at the back of the building, away from the entrance, then this is not inclusive. An automatic sliding door that allows everyone to access the building through the same entry point is inclusive. Lack of faith facilities, or toilets for diverse gender identities means that diversity will not be accommodated within the space. Our input helps to identify barriers, and to work with the design team to maximise opportunities for inclusion.
