Requirements

  • To apply, you will need a minimum degree in Environmental, Civil, Energy Engineering, Sustainability Management or a related subject. You will also require the following:
  • Preferred Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Urban Planning or similar
  • Preferred two or more years of professional experience in consulting, engineering, government administration, or similar workplace environments; experience across different fields and exposure to an international environment will be viewed favorably
  • A data-driven disposition, with demonstrated experience of using, interpreting and representing complex data including socio-economic and environmental data
  • A strong working knowledge of urban infrastructure systems, urban design, economic development and/or environmental policy
  • A high level of proficiency in verbal and written English, with demonstrable report writing and presentation capability
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize and present information effectively
  • Proficiency in quantitative modelling, such as statistical models, GHG emission inventories, and/or economic proformas
  • Working knowledge of a language in addition to English (such as Spanish, Arabic or Mandarin) would be advantageous
  • Software and Technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Statistical modelling in R, SPSS, STATA or similar
  • Knowledge of Adobe CS, specifically Illustrator and InDesign preferred
  • Geospatial analysis using ArcGIS and/or QGIS
  • Experience with 2D and 3D modelling software including Rhino and AutoCAD beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking detailed technical and geospatial analysis
  • Developing greenhouse gas models and/or hazard vulnerability analysis
  • Researching innovative technologies, policies and programs
  • Participating in learning and development initiatives to build own capability and to ensure skills are disseminated in the team
