Requirements

BSc qualification in a relevant or related discipline, or demonstration of equivalent practical experience
A strong general grounding in environmental and climate science
Experience in or familiarity with climate change risk assessment (physical and/or transition) and/or with climate adaptation strategies
An understanding of climate data and modelling
Strong quantitative and Excel skills (this will be assessed in the recruitment process)
Demonstrable experience at self-management and working under your own initiative, including managing several projects or workstreams (for graduates this can be while studying)

Responsibilities

To provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission;
To provide expertise and assistance in aspects of highway engineering and/or transportation planning for which they have been trained;
When required, to liaise/meet with other consultants and external members of the project team to co-ordinate information and resources;
To have an understanding of all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning;
To keep abreast of the latest development with respect to all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning; and,
To be conversant with all local and national planning policies and guidelines insofar as they relate to transportation and development.
