Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Graduated between May 2023 and June 2024
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)
  • It would be awesome if you had:
  • Experience working with an energy company and knowledge of the electrical system
  • Experience working with construction and OSHA

Responsibilities

  • As an Associate Supervisor, you have the important task of providing the support to keep the lights on for members of your own community especially in times of electrical emergency.
  • You will:
  • Supervise a culturally diverse team through coaching, counseling and team building to ensure tasks are carried out in an efficient manner.
  • Oversee the operational workload of the team to ensure allocated resources are fully utilized to deliver against agreed upon work plan and execute work activities within planned unit and budget cost.
  • Ensure supervised teams comply with all company safety standards, policies, and processes, Federal and State policy, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff.
  • Provide support to personnel engaged in a 24/7 operation, including responding to electrical emergencies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for multiple internal stakeholders and outside agencies to provide support and ensure National Grid delivers against service level agreements.
  • Promote and implement best practices to ensure all work tasks achieve high productivity and low costs.
