Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering - Power Distribution focus
  • 1 year of electrical engineering AutoCAD design experience and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
  • Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
  • Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
  • Pittsburgh residence is highly preferred.
  • May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • What will make you stand out:
  • Engineering Intern or Engineer in Training Certification
  • Experience in Revit
  • Local to Pittsburgh

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and design services in support of water and wastewater infrastructure projects as part of a project team.
  • Contributes to technical evaluations and reports, prepares design calculations and assessments, and is responsible for assisting in the production of design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents, all under the guidance, supervision, and mentoring of Project Engineers and Project Managers on the design team.
  • Conducts, coordinates, and communicates technical evaluations and designs with the Project Manager and design team to complete work efficiently.
  • Responsible for completing design tasks within a specified budget and schedule, while balancing multiple tasks on multiple projects. Must effectively communicate and correspond with the design team to complete work efficiently and on-time.
  • Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations
