Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university with a graduation date between December 2023 and August 2024.
  • Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent major; power focus is preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S., currently and in the future, without visa sponsorship.
  • Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Applies sound engineering principals and standards to utility substation or transmission line designs
  • Assures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project
  • Assists in the performance of the quality review of all project documents and make sure all project quality reviews adhere to company QA/QC practices and procedures
  • Assists in the preparation of specifications and material lists
  • Populate project change log throughout the project cycle with adequate out-of-scope descriptions and hours associated with the additional work
  • Populate the project RFI log throughout the project cycle and follow-up on information required within the log
  • Work with Supervising Engineers and Project Managers to make sure projects are completed on schedule and within project budget
  • Assists with performing Project Close-Out and As-Built revisions
  • Visits construction sites with Project Engineer to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by client
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Engineer
