Requirements

  • We are looking for recent graduate engineers (Bachelor or Master degree qualified) who are passionate about AI and automation within engineering.
  • With a natural focus on the environment and a compulsive curiosity about how engineering can play its part in delivering for the future, you should be a data driven and process-improvement enthusiast who can demonstrate they are a successful team player and manage responsibilities given to them.
  • Work experience is not required, but internships that have included any of the project areas listed are an advantage. With an excellent level of English, you should also be mobile and have a readiness to change location and country as a part of your longer-term career development.

Responsibilities

  • At Essity, we see graduate engineers as playing a central role in challenging the status quo, driving change and making a positive impact by delivering concrete results within our global hygiene and health business. You will be joining our professional papermaking production team at our site in Trafford Park, Manchester, UK, where you will work closely with experienced colleagues:
  • To learn to follow established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to manufacture tissue-based consumer products that meet the organization’s high standards of quality and cost
  • To perform standard technical tasks and prepare standard operation sheets.
  • To monitor production processes and work methods; and collect, compile, and analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve production processes.
  • To learn to troubleshoot (for example, following root cause analysis methodology) and gain expert knowledge of the product supply industry
  • To drive projects to support continuous improvements and deliverables.– particularly relating to mechatronic-based process improvements, 3-d printing, energy and cost saving programmes.
  • To drive your own continued learning and complete industry-specific in-house training modules
  • By the end of your training you will have developed your papermaking production and technical skills and be qualified for roles within our manufacturing area.
  • Please be advised, as part of the opportunity you will be required to spend a 12 week period in one of our European Manufacturing Sites.
