Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience or interest in Municipal / Utility or Transportation Engineering.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply effective verbal and written communication skills when writing specifications and reports, participating in project team discussions, and interacting with clients and contractors.
  • Advantageous Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience developing construction documentation for roadway design, utility, grading and drainage, and stormwater management projects.
  • Previous experience conducting on-site inspections and construction observations for municipal or transportation projects.
  • Engineer In Training Certification or interest in attaining within 6 months of start date.
  • Previous experience as a member of a multi-disciplined project team.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our team, you will work alongside multi-disciplined engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural), design, and planning professionals to design a variety of roadway and utility projects within the Twin Cities metro area and throughout the State of Minnesota.
  • This role is a mix of office and field work as you will become engaged in the full life cycle of projects from conception through construction. You'll gain experience in feasibility studies, designing for a variety of different municipal projects, community engagement and construction supervision.
