Requirements

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in geology, geophysics or related geosciences or are predicted one in 2022
  • Are a clear communicator, outgoing and a team player
  • Are happy to be challenged by demanding site work, and the technical interpretation and reporting of site data
  • Have an awareness of good health and safety practices.
  • Are looking to work for the UK's leading near surface geophysics consultancy/contractors

Responsibilities

  • A graduate geophysicist is responsible for participating in site investigations and data processing and interpretation. As they progress, they will start seeing the projects through from commencement to completion. Good communication skills are needed, the candidate must work well within a team environment and be self-motivated.
  • The successful candidate will be:
  • Participating in a variety of geophysics and utility surveying projects for both external clients and for other teams within RSK;
  • Collecting, processing and picking GPR data
  • Participating in PAS128 (UK standard) Utility surveys
  • Writing factual and interpretative reports and quotations
  • Collecting and recording accurate site notes
  • Travel to other offices and sites within the UK (as needed).
