Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specialising in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering (or similar).
  • Proven record undertaking academic projects or work experience/internship in an engineering organisation.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Report writing for internal and external purposes based on findings.
  • Good grasp of Microsoft Excel and other Office software packages.
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to a diverse range of problems.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, contract managers and QHSE personnel.
  • Good English communication skills and report-writing skills are required.
  • Ability to work under own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • The following experience is considered advantageous: (Optional)
  • Basic knowledge or previous exposure to the offshore or onshore wind industry is advantageous.
  • A strong academic background in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and a dissertation on a Geotechnical Engineering subject is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Performing geotechnical engineering work on a range of offshore wind projects in development and construction phases.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of technical inputs, data analysis, and report writing, focused on geotechnical aspects.
  • Conducting geotechnical analytical tasks, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, in-house tools, databases etc.
  • Participating in R&D initiatives to create innovative engineering solutions.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
  • Support bidding efforts and proposal development.
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to approved policies and procedures.
  • Take on additional assignments and tasks as requested.
