  • Their Finance Technology is looking for a developer to join a new team set up in Chester, Bournemouth, London and Glasgow with the primary goal of focusing on Strategic architecture builds and enhancing existing applications to meet our German Regulatory expectations. 


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, maths).
  • Good grades 2.1 and above. We look for potential, not prestige, but it’s important that you enjoy pushing yourself to pick up new ideas.
  • Experience with OOP (object oriented programming) particulary in Java and exposure to Scala is a bonus!
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering principles (data structures, OOP, design patterns, multithreading).
  • Exposure to a variety of other cloud technologies or techniques, including Spark, DataBricks, Azure Cloud, Snowflake and Power BI.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Knowledge of database concepts (SQL, stored procs, schema design).
  • An understanding of the formal SDLC (software development lifecycle).
  • An understanding of test-driven development, familiar with techniques and concepts related to building high quality software in an agile fashion, including automated testing, tooling and DevOps tools/concepts.
  • The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK
