Responsibilities

  • As a Graduate Land Surveyor you will:
  • Assist with the preparation of data for site survey work
  • Travel to a variety of sites across the country to undertake surveys, collect geospatial data and set out works on behalf of DM and their clients, using GNSS, Total Station, Laser Scanning, Drone/UAV, Electromagnetic Location and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment
  • Take a proactive approach to processing survey data in line with departmental best practice
  • Produce maps and plans in support of a wide range of fast paced projects, on time and within budget to maintain company standard
  • Working in collaboration with the team, obtain, manage and analyse data from range of sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients
  • Be responsible in the maintenance and calibration procedures of the survey equipment and organisational policies and requirements
  • Work under guidance, on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work
  • Be commercially aware, maintain good records, including meeting notes, expense claims and comprehensive file updates and records of activities to provide regular client updates
