Requirements

  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher.
  • Humility, self-motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • An understanding of the construction industry and built environment.
  • Ability to commute to office on regular basis
  • We are also keen to know if you can offer any of these attributes
  • Additional languages that you are fluent or able to apply professionally, as well as English.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Also, any academic knowledge of:
  • Environmental design, environmental science or sustainability-related disciplines.
  • Building industry, sustainability and/or material science.
  • Electrical design, micro-grids and/or DNO engagement
  • Planning, environmental impact assessments or wider sustainability legislation.
  • Technical ability in environmental-related disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Carbon verification, validation and auditing.
  • Contributing to the delivery of key projects, with support from senior team members.
  • Reviewing project details and developing appropriate sustainability targets.
  • Reviewing documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project’s targets and provide feedback or follow-up.
  • Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members.
  • Preparation of reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams, or in support of planning applications with support from senior team members.
  • Managing own workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Reviewing the performance of designated projects on a monthly basis and update the team’s project tracker with progress information.
  • Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes.
  • Arrange meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.
  • Attending and contributing to project team meetings.
  • Completing relevant training to become qualified to deliver carbon consultancy advisory services/.
  • Developing commercial awareness by assisting with preparation of proposals/tenders for new work.
