Mission & Purpose

TFT is an independent commercial building consultancy which places the performance of buildings and the wellbeing of people at the heart of its work. We provide development, built assets, engineering and sustainability advice to commercial property investors, developers, owners and occupiers. At every stage we are focussed on improving the resilience and value of buildings, applying independent and specialist advice uncompromised by commercial conflicts. We have been in business since 1973, growing our firm off the back of long-term client relationships and trusted advice. Our continued success is built on a tight-knit and collaborative team, which thrives in a culture of shared learning, development and improvement. Having launched our Redefining Building Performance research in 2021, TFT identified a gap: our industry holds ambitions for more healthy, sustainable and flexible assets, but is not taking the right steps to achieve them. Combining our findings with our in-house knowledge, we are pushing our clients and wider industry to close that gap with better measurement and closer collaboration across the building lifecycle. Our work covers the UK and Europe too. TFT has offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Guildford, Leeds, London, Manchester and Southampton.
