Requirements

Relevant HND Qualification or Degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering or other related transport planning discipline.
The principles and techniques of transportation planning and traffic engineering.
Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.
Good interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Able to participate in and contribute to project-related discussions.

Responsibilities

To provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission;
To provide expertise and assistance in aspects of highway engineering and/or transportation planning for which they have been trained;
When required, to liaise/meet with other consultants and external members of the project team to co-ordinate information and resources;
To have an understanding of all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning;
To keep abreast of the latest development with respect to all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning; and,
To be conversant with all local and national planning policies and guidelines insofar as they relate to transportation and development.
