Requirements

  • Understanding of civil engineering fundamentals
  • Interest in groundwater, storm water, and water resources management
  • Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
  • Anne LProven skills in GIS applications and AutoCAD experience, a plus
  • Experience with various surface water and storm water modeling platforms: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-SSP, EPA-SWMM a plus.
  • Strong technical writing skills; Grant and proposal writing experience, a plus
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with virtual teams
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and deadlines
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering Program in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 0-2 years experience
  • Engineer-in-training (EIT), a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering planning and design tasks
  • Assist with development of technical reports
  • Analyze different types of groundwater, climate, surface water, storm water and water quality data
  • Assist in development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E)
  • Ability to conduct field work and collect data related to sampling and construction observations
  • Assist in planning reports, water compliance studies, and general water infrastructure engineering projects
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data including water supply, water quality, and asset conditions
