Major responsibilities include meal planning with leadership, reviewing menus prior to food preparation, ensuring all food procedures are followed, coordinating food service with other departments, assisting with food supply purchasing and inventory, following sanitation guidelines, and becoming familiar with new menu items/dishes.
What are the educational requirements for this role?
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a graduate of a culinary institute, military school, or formal on-the-job training is preferred.
How much food preparation experience is needed for this job?
A minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience is required.
Is experience with quantity food preparation necessary?
Experience with quantity food preparation is preferred but not required.
