  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including meeting planners, organizations, and corporate businesses, to achieve optimum market share.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet group requirements.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that highlight the hotel’s facilities, services, and promotional offers.
  • Conduct methodical site inspections for prospective and tentative group bookings, ensuring alignment with departmental standards.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts while adhering to hotel policies and revenue objectives.
  • Track contract signing and payments to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with events, catering, and operations teams to deliver flawless execution of group bookings and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Respond promptly (within 24 hours) to guest inquiries, follow up to ensure satisfaction, and handle concerns or obstacles effectively.
  • Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Strive to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals by closing optimal business opportunities based on market conditions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to accurately forecast revenue. Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Group Sales.
  • Maintain expertise in Delphi and Opera, ensuring all booking information is current and accurate.
  • Promote tools like MI Leads for cross-selling opportunities and acquire a thorough understanding of the Marriott Loyalty Program.
  • Participate in sales-related training sessions and provide guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Take responsibility for quoting decisions, manage time effectively, and complete daily tasks within strategic guidelines.
  • Attend pre-convention meetings, participate in annual engagement surveys, and support special projects as assigned by the Director of Group Sales (DOGS) and Director of Sales (DOS).
  • Demonstrate awareness of body language and communication to build rapport and ensure professional interactions.
