Responsibilities

  • Create a lower funnel marketing strategy and plan to drive BBC iPlayer growth through the lower funnel
  • Oversee the creation of a lower funnel multi-channel media strategy and plan that will deliver on the BBC iPlayer marketing strategy
  • Develop customer lifecycle, customer lifetime value, and next best action frameworks to optimise weekly consumption of BBC iPlayer
  • Identify key user journeys and gaps in these journeys to exploit new growth opportunities that drive BBC iPlayer consumption
  • Formulate and execute the audience segmentation strategy for digital media channels, utilising CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools
  • Oversee an experimentation roadmap, conducting A/B and multi-variant tests, and validating hypotheses
  • Oversee the creation, approval, compliance and supply of assets that will deliver on the marketing strategy
  • Measure performance using attribution methods to maximise KPIs and use data to continuously improve efficiency
  • Respond to changes in audience behaviour, technology, and wider strategy to optimise campaigns
  • Forecast marketing performance and produce insightful reports for stakeholders
  • Establish influential relationships with peers in Marketing, Media, Creative, Editorial, and Product teams, and act as an arbitration path when required
  • Work collaboratively with upper and mid funnel marketing and media teams to contribute effectively to a cohesive platform marketing strategy, aligned to brand and growth goals
