Requirements

  • Deep expertise in HSE with experience working offshore, beneficially in the offshore wind sector, experience of vessel management and maritime activities & operations
  • Knowledge & understanding of regulatory framework in relevant jurisdictions / markets and regulatory decision-making procedures
  • Degree or equivalent in engineering / Safety / Environment. Relevant internationally recognised qualification as a HSE professional. Minimum of 10 years working as a HSE Professional
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
  • Knowledge HSE hazards & risks working in the offshore wind sector, understanding of vessel management and maritime activities
  • Experienced in providing functional and line management of diverse HSE teams across a multi-country/region approach
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible, collaborative and practical approach HSE management
  • Good working knowledge of relevant local, national and international legislation health and safety legislation
  • English is mandatory, additional languages are beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Proactively support line management in meeting their HSE responsibilities with technical, organizational, and procedural advice, including country/region-specific legislative compliance
  • Ensure to support implementation & promotion of wellbeing & care and Personal choice program for Offshore Construction and contract teams
  • Cascade & implement the global HSE strategy to construction, ensuring HSE construction actions are aligned to the overall strategy
  • Monitor HSE performance through KPIs and metrics, and present regular HSE performance reports to senior management. Use a data-driven approach to improve HSE practices
  • Responsible for implementing the HSE management system, safe systems of work procedures, investigation setup, contractor management, HSE audits, and other risk control measures
  • Support investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and preventive actions
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning in HSE practices
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within construction, leading on safe-by-design principles to ensure HSE evaluations concerning the constructability and operability of new technologies have been completed
