Responsibilities

  • The Head of Strategic Financial Planning will be responsible for the management and performance of the Financial Planning and Analysis function of the Trust, ensuring that Trust annual operating plan and longer-term plans and forecasts support the delivery of Trust objectives and are triangulated with operational budgets and reserves, demand and capacity and workforce plans.
  • The post holder will liaise with colleagues across the Trust, ICS and peninsula to identify appropriate assumptions, strategies and requirements to deliver financial sustainability.
  • The post holder will support in delivering a robust financial control environment, through the application of budgetary controls, management of health contracts and Trustwide budgets and reserves.
  • The post holder will seek to limit the Trust’s exposure to financial risks and maximise financial performance through the provision of clear and timely analysis to decision-makers and liaison with Trust commissioners and service leads.
