The main responsibility of a Health Visitor in this role is to promote the health and wellbeing of children and their families, provide specialist practitioner knowledge and advice, assess care needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care and public health developments in the community.
Will the Health Visitor be involved in supervising and mentoring staff?
Yes, the Health Visitor will assume responsibility for the planned teaching and supervision of junior staff and students, ensuring mentorship and supervision of both pre-registration and specialist practice students.
