Requirements

  • Relevant experience working in a primary educational setting, preferably as a HLTA.
  • A Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning activities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support student progress and achievement.
  • Provide targeted support to students with additional needs, ensuring inclusive and accessible learning opportunities for all.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and assessment of lessons and learning materials.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning community.
