Requirements

  • Applicants must possess the following:
  • Civil Engineering Major or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Highway Engineer will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support senior engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of roadway design. Responsibilities will include performing roadway design, field investigations, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and the development of technical reports.
