Requirements

  • - You will be a law/GDL graduate or equivalent with a keen interest in law. Additionally, if you have already completed the LPC this will be of great benefit but is not essential.
  • - Previous paralegal experience would be desirable particularly in respect of housing condition claims, but what is most important is your attitude, so you will need to show us that you are hard-working, with initiative, drive and great organisational skills. On-the-job training and guidance will be provided to enable you to succeed in this role.
  • - You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to adapt your style to communicate effectively with a wide range of professional people and other stakeholders.
  • - This is a busy role within a litigation team, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently and remain calm under pressure. We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and who will provide a first-class support service to your colleagues and our clients, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.

  • - Assisting in housing condition claims brought by tenants
  • - Liaising with colleagues, clients, courts and opposing representatives
  • - Assisting in drafting pleadings and witness statements in support of applications brought in the County Court
  • - Complying with data security and all firm policies and procedures
