Responsibilities

  • Serves as a business partner providing guidance to managers in interpretation of company policies, procedures and programs consistent with McCormick’s philosophy and core values. Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Fully participates in weekly staff meetings with the functions/locations.
  • Partner with McCormick Employment Center and Business Partners to recruit, conduct interviews, and hire qualified candidates for non exempt and exempt positions
  • Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management including unemployment and worker's compensation. Identifies trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises managers and employees.
  • Ensure effective performance management process, coaching staff and managers on compensation, annual reviews and work force planning.
  • Assists managers in the identification of employee relations issues and potential causes, and the development of solutions.
  • Responsibilities also include coordinating, and supporting project and process improvement teams, and participating in and/or supporting project teams.
  • Provides support to the functions/locations for short-term and long-term planning using data driven analysis. Actively participates in the development of the OGSMs. Has responsibility for executing, communicating and translating organizational objectives and practices.
