Requirements

  • CIPD qualified with at least 5 years’ experience of working as an HR generalist in a commercial environment (experience within a founder-led business would be useful but not essential)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with Senior stakeholders and employees at all levels.
  • Solid knowledge of current and emerging UK employment legislation, with the ability to apply this to a range of situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with SuccessFactors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of the employee lifecycle from recruitment, induction, talent development, reward, engagement, and recognition through to career progression and leavers process with an employee experience mindset.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including writing job descriptions, preparing interview questions, consulting with recruitment agencies, interviewing candidates, preparing offer letters and contracts, processing pre-employment checks, and ensuring IT set up is sorted for new starters.
  • Support any change management and organisational design initiatives.
  • Coach leaders through and manage employee relations issues.
  • Support the business with performance management and development (including succession planning, performance review cycle, identifying training needs and opportunities).
  • Lead all HR administration for Pentland Capital including drawing up employment contracts, day to day letters and ensure electronic employee files are maintained and accurate.
