Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely submission of Form I-9 completion.
  • Audits and tracks Form I-9 submissions and assists with reporting results.
  • Creates and develops training resources, materials, and communication for local offices regarding Form I-9 requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison between immigration counsel and internal employees to drive all immigration needs.
  • Ensures timely submission of all employment-based visa processes and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Reviews and analyze new local, state and federal legislation.
  • Assists with conducting various internal audits to ensure compliance with the OFCCP/EEOC such as review of talent acquisition processes.
  • Leads all aspects for employees and applicants requesting a reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
  • Create and develop reports in HNTB’s human capital management software. Responds to requests and sends corresponding data and reporting to vendors, required reporting agencies and internal marketing teams as needed for proposals.
  • Assists with development of Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs), EEO-1 reporting, VETs and disability requirements. Create and develop educational materials for offices and supports or participates in presentations about HNTB’s role in federal, state and local compliance programs.
  • Participates in OFCCP, state and other external audit to ensure and maintain HNTB’s regulatory compliance. Reviews, audits, and prepares files as needed for site visits and desk audits.
  • Leads the firmwide outreach strategy activities.
  • Coordinates required notice postings for all offices to ensure federal, state and local compliance. Audits vendor system for updated HNTB locations and contacts.
  • Maintains compliance resources on HNTB’s internal website and participates annually in the review of human resources policies. Updates, posts and archives policies and documents on the firmwide retrieval site to ensure access of current data and information.
  • Identifies issues and escalates to manager to ensure quality performance of programs and processes.
  • Participates in special projects as required, including assisting in other areas of the team and/or department, and ensures all assigned tasks are completed timely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
