Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Write, post, screen, and interview candidates; onboard and welcome new hires to ensure a smooth start.
  • Talent and Development Strategy: Identify talent needs, address skill gaps, create and update job descriptions, and maintain talent development initiatives to align with business goals.
  • Talent Acquisition Events: Represent the company at recruitment events, career fairs, open interviews, and college networking programs to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Employee Engagement and Recognition: Lead employee recognition programs, social activities, and initiatives to boost morale and team engagement.
  • Employee Relations: Partner with management and employees to strengthen work relationships, build a positive culture, and improve retention.
  • Benefits Administration: Support employee benefits programs, leave management, and ensure employees have resources to understand their options.
  • Policy Guidance: Advise policy interpretation and address inquiries related to benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and other HR-related matters.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough, objective investigations when necessary.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with labor laws and policies, maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Training and Development: Oversee and register employees for required annual, legal, skills, and knowledge-based training, including the company’s established apprenticeship program.
  • Safety: Works closely with Safety Manager on OSHA recordkeeping and manages employee safety glass program.
