Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain benefit plan setup in the HRIS and carrier connections
  • Handle Benefits administration including holding information sessions, enrollments, billing and payroll entry for changes
  • Process supplemental benefits paperwork and deductions, and assist in application of all other company benefits
  • Manage company perks for employees
  • Process leave requests and workers compensation in accordance to local, city and federal law
  • Handle commuter benefits administration
  • Develop and implement employee relations programs, events, community service, etc
  • Promote and develop advertising for employee relations events such as upcoming events, health tips, community service activities and employee recognition program
  • Develop materials for and maintain employee communication and recognition boards
  • Maintain employee files and computer files
  • Responsible for rate and status changes and updates in the HRIS along with accompanying payroll forms
  • Handle maintenance of INS I-9 documentation
  • Handle employee requests and issues such as policy and procedure questions, benefits inquiries, etc
  • Assist in processing of termed employees from exit interview to COBRA transmission
  • Maintain disciplinary action log
  • Ensure HR compliance posters are displayed per NY State, New York City and Federal regulations
  • Assist with recruitment process, ie coordinate interviews, background checks, offer letters, onboarding in payroll system, etc
  • Assist with new employee orientation and on-boarding
  • Process employment verifications for active, termed, and employees filing for unemployment
  • Purchasing and managing of all HR operating supplies, employee relations items, as needed
  • Pull ADP reports for the Director of Human Resources as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources
