What is the primary purpose of the HVAC Mechanic position?
The primary purpose of the HVAC Mechanic position is to perform preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment as required by a USAF contract, ensuring the proper functioning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
What type of equipment will I be responsible for maintaining?
You will be responsible for maintaining various HVAC equipment including chillers, air handlers, ductwork, thermostats, package units, refrigerant, and pump houses, located in multiple facilities, including tension fabric shelters.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Required qualifications include being a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a standard security clearance, having at least 5 years of experience in HVAC, and possessing certifications such as NATE or EPA Universal CFC/HCFC Refrigerant Processing Certificate among others.
