Responsibilities

  • The Product Lead's role is to be the custodian of the product vision and accountable for maximising the value your IT solution brings to Individual Giving and WFP. This is done by understanding business and end-user requirements (collaborating with PSP’s Supporter Acquisition and Supporter Experience teams) and prioritising features to be implemented.
  • To manage and lead a team of specialists covering the following IT platforms for Individual Giving – Salesforce Cloud, GoDonate, GoCardless, Stripe.
  • To be the lead relationship holder with all core software partners for the IG team, including leading on the integration with global support partners and those who are market specific.
  • To be a member of the IG leadership team - work cohesively and collaboratively with peers and representing the objectives and goals of the IG product team.
  • To coach, mentor and manage (as applicable) a team of experts covering the discipline of solutions architect, tech stack developer, salesforce lead developer, product and platform manager, and project manager. Ensuring they have a clear development path, annual objectives that are aligned to the team’s strategic objectives and create a team culture that fosters high staff retention and satisfaction.
  • To build and deliver annual roadmaps that align with and can adjust to the needs of a growing fundraising programme and contribute to the delivery of the overall strategic fundraising targets - as part of a team wide integrated planning approach alongside the Supporter Acquisition and Supporter Experience leads.
  • To build, foster and grow internal collaboration with key stakeholder groups, including the central WFP TEC team. Able to represent the needs and strategic priorities of the IG team, whilst ensuring synergies especially during times of rapid growth.
  • To advocate for, communicate and drive forwards the technical needs of IG with both internal and external partners. Always ensuring WFP returns maximum efficiencies for their technical investments, whilst being delivered within the resource and capacity available.
  • To lead on the end-to-end development of all IT product-based solutions for Individual Giving, including management of budget and resource, whilst ensuring the solution is delivered on time and with exceptional quality assurance.
  • To ensure the IG Team is familiar with the latest insights and technology advancements across advertising platforms e.g., Facebook for developers, Google for developers, TikTok for developers.
  • To manage and develop IG's API solutions for advertising platforms i.e. Facebook Conversions API.
  • To create efficient processes for reporting outages or bugs across platforms and investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as required.
  • In collaboration with Comms, maintain IG's marketing and analytics tags via GTM (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel) ensuring that events are implemented correctly and maintained over time.
  • To define and evolve IG’s UTM tagging structure in collaboration with fundraising teams, BI Hub and Comms as needed.
  • To review and develop new ways of working and processes across the IG team that are grounded in both efficiency and quality assurance.
  • To work closely and align with other PSP counterparts, especially with ShareTheMeal (WFPs Public Fundraising App). Ensuring efficiencies where possible, shared learning and explore areas of collaboration for mutual benefit.
  • To keep abreast of the developments within WFP’s IG Fundraising programme, across the fundraising sector, alongside technology advancements in the corporate world and bring relevant learning to the team in particular the latest developments in MarTech, FinTech and AdTech.
