Responsibilities

  • Be involved in the complete design and development process
  • Conduct in-depth research that will inform innovative and varied concept generation, ranging from cabin floorplans to detailed design
  • Communicate concepts with compelling 2D sketches
  • Translate 2D sketch and concepts into 3D CAD models (Rhinoceros and Alias are the primary tools)
  • Render 3D models into compelling photo realistic images to support presentations to the leadership team (V-Ray and Keyshot are the primary tools)
  • Combine technical requirements and form-giving in collaboration with other teams: engineering, marketing, and interior design
  • Mock-up and prototype to various scales in variety of materials and technologies
  • Support the interior design team in the development of materials, and finishes throughout the aircraft cabin
  • Investigate innovative manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, cabin hardware and accessories
  • Collaborate in the testing and prototyping of these materials and processes
  • Present concepts to senior management and other stakeholders
