Responsibilities

  • This position requires the ability to answer public inquiries by phone, in person or through claim applications and correspondence.
  • The person in this position accepts claims and complaints for all Labor Department programs, ensures the application is complete, processes them in the database, prepares notices to employers and answers questions regarding the status of claims throughout the claims process.
  • The person in this position will also direct inquiries and questions to other department staff members or to other government agencies as appropriate.
  • The ability to interpret and translate verbal and written Spanish communication is helpful but not required.
