Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, management & administration of planning development, assessment & evaluation activities across Student Life & Learning (SLL) units, including Enrollment Services, Athletics and Recreation, Student Services, Student Housing and Hospitality and the Office of the Dean of Students.
  • Leads monitoring and evaluation activities of SLL strategic planning by establishing appropriate methodologies, developing tools and reporting metrics.
  • Has the primary leadership role across Student Life and Learning as requested by DP in developing comprehensive plans through collaborative multidisciplinary team approaches to ensure quality assurance reporting of the delivery of services, cyclical review of services, special projects, and programming.
  • Leads identification, diagnosis, recommendations, implementation tools and performs follow-up to enhance the effectiveness of services and ensure adherence and accountability and best practices in the student experience.
  • Establishes frameworks for assessing progress toward strategic goals, & ensures the frameworks are continually improved & increasingly integrated with other processes.
  • Leads evidence-based decision-making to be used by units for creating medium and long-term improvements within the units and overall service excellence model.
  • Leads and participates in working groups and committees at project scoping phases, implementation, and review.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to the SLL units in developing their assessment and evaluation plans.
  • Leads continuous improvement and data informed decision-making consistent with the SLL strategic plan. Responsible for improvements of assessment and evaluation activities as well as continuous improvement of SLL programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Leads applied research projects and the implementation of benchmarking exercises with external agencies to ensure accountability requirements align. Keep current with trends in the market while applying internal best practices.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving applied research requests for Student Services and SLL and ensuring ethical clearance for approved projects.
  • Acts as a resource to senior management & to the University community on best practices and subject matter expertise in assessment and evaluation.
  • Develops multi-year strategic and operational plans, funding proposals, and annual goals and objectives and implement them in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Determines and oversees the choice, use and extent of IT solutions to support assessment and evaluation operations and SLL needs.
